Covid-19: Australia partners with Oxford University for coronavirus vaccine

 Australia announced on Monday an agreement of 1.7 billion Australian dollars (about 90.75 billion rupees) with pharmaceutical companies to manufacture and supply potential two vaccines against the Covid-19 pandemic.


Under the agreement, the UK's Oxford University and AstraZeneca and Australia's Queensland University and CSIL will provide 8.48 million doses of the vaccine for 26 million Australians and a fully-fledged production in the Australian city of Melbourne, a government statement said Will go.

The statement said that Australians would receive 38 million doses of the vaccine from Oxford University in January and February next year.
