South Indian actor Samyuktha Hegde was polished ethically for wearing workout clothes and hula hooping at a park near Agara Lake in Bengaluru on Friday.
In a shocking incident, a mob attacked Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde and her friends for wearing 'indecent clothes' at the Agara Lake complex in Bengaluru. The Comali actor took to social media to share his plight with a video where he can be seen surrounded by men making derogatory allegations on her. Apparently, the Kannada actor was enjoying his workout with friends when a woman named Kavita Reddy began giving moral policing to Hegde, questioning the choice of clothes. Sharing a video of a woman accusing her friend on Twitter, Hedge wrote, "The future of our country reflects on what we do today. We were abused and ridiculed by Kavitha Reddy at Agara Lake @BlrCityPolice @CPBlr There are witnesses and more video evidence I request you to look into this #thisisWRONG Our side of the story" (sic).
Samyukta Hegde and his friends were in the garden to practice hula hoops on Friday evening, when the woman abused them and asked them if they were 'cabaret dancers' and questioned their character for wearing workout clothes while abusing raised. The woman had allegedly joined a group of men who threatened the Comali actor that they would add his name to the ongoing Sandalwood drug scandal. The group of men also surrounded the Kannada actor and raised slogans against her.
In a detailed video shared on Instagram by Samyuktha Hegde, the police can be seen present on the spot. The woman can be heard saying that she wants to register a case against a Kannada actor. The elderly woman on camera blames the Kannada actor for 'stripping in public'. After this, Samyuktha Hegde started walking out as a woman and a group of men followed him with police while saying, "We are not letting you go, we will not leave you. You have to come to the police station."
The group allegedly locked the main gate of the garden to ensure that the Kannada actor and his friends do not step outside. When Hegde asks the woman to open the gate, she said, "Now you're misbehaving." Another man in the video can be seen verifying the Comali actor's story explaining to the Bengaluru police that the girls were acting in peace and did not misbehave.
