North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un held a third high-level political meeting within a few weeks, reflecting the state of emergency and the country's preparedness to deal with the corona virus infection, on Thursday (August 27) warned about the forecast of storm knocking in the country.
North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday (August 26) that Kim on the 'flaws' in a campaign against Coronavirus infection in the country during a detailed meeting of the ruling Workers Party's Politburo on Tuesday (August 25) Expressed displeasure and asked them to improve rapidly. However, he did not specifically explain what the flaws were.
Kim called for detailed preparation to be made in relation to Hurricane 'Bavi' to reduce the damage caused by it. In fact, only a few weeks ago, the country was flooded by torrential rains and it caused extensive damage to homes and crops. These natural disasters are hurting the economy, along with border closures due to US-led sanctions on nuclear weapons and the Corona Virus epidemic.
Hurricane Bawi was near Jeju Island in South Korea on Wednesday morning and will reach the northwest coast of the Korean Peninsula by noon. Earlier in the ruling party meeting last week, Kim admitted that the recovery in the economy had not happened as he had hoped.
