Producer and director Prakash Jha has made films like Aarakshan, Satyagraha, Jai Gangajal.
He is known for making films based on socio-political background.
While such interesting stories have been created by the filmmaker, he seems to have traced the story of his upcoming film to a real-life incident.
The film is titled Pareeksha and the idea was told to an inspiring story to the filmmaker.
The story is about children from a Naxal-affected area in Bihar and after listening to it, Prakash spoke on a related subject and stayed with him ever since he heard it.
A former Bihar director general of police, Abhay Anand once narrated his attempt with a filmmaker where there were small but talented children present.
"Abhay told me that when he was posted in Jehanabad as a senior SP, he would often go to villages in Naxal-affected areas and prepare a group of children whose intelligence would bow to him. So, he started interacting with them and asking questions, and encouraged them to come for special coaching, which he organized in the city. Some of them were so intelligent that they qualified for engineering colleges,"shared Jha.
This was an example, which made Prakash Jha to tell the story of the aspirations of the underprivileged, especially as far as education is concerned.
Abhayananda, who started a special educational initiative to educate children in the region, clarifies that Paricha is not a biopic.
He added, "When I met some children who had solved a complex problem, I once talked to them about my visit to the Naxalite affected belt. They were not school-going children, but I Realized that children who do not go to school have innate intelligence." The film stars actors like Adil Hussain, Priyanka Bose, and Sanjay Suri who narrate the story of a poor family's desire to educate their son in an English medium school so that they can finally ensure a bright future for him.
The film's release date has not yet been announced.
